Girl in Tiny Coffin – Hidden Mother [ Archive Image 3405 ]

Sixth plate daguerreotype of a little girl. The photographer used two mats to hide the fact that she was in a tiny coffin, which has been leaned against a chair and supported by a woman, whose hand is visible in the shot.
